So lot’s of guys want to gain weight and that’s a topic I’ve been looking a lot into recently and practicing which helped me gain weight.
So to start off, the general rule is to eat every 2-3 hours.
In the morning, I eat a light breakfast because I never really feel hungry in the morning but I do stack up some food and put them in my backpack for school. Also, my dad likes to make porridge for me which is a really good way to gain weight.
So before 12 pm I’ve eaten twice (ok that’s not allot but I don’t eat allot in the morning as I said before).
Then I come home and eat whatever my mother cooked. Here’s a nice tip you guys can use when you have a mother that cooks; Tell her to cook for on more fictional person every day. In my house there are 3 people and now my mother cooks for 4. So the second meal is consumed 2-3 hours after my first meal.
After that, I usually wouldn’t eat until it’s time to sleep…not anymore. Now I eat every 2-3 hours and after doing this for a while you will burn fat really fast so you will get hungry faster (if I stay for example 3.5 hour without eating I will get hungry). So you will have to have some meals you can eat during the day without to much effort. Since you already eat your mom’s additional meal (probably around 4 pm somewhere), You can start looking into making another meal.
I tried out some simple stuff that is easy to make and fills you good. One example is pasta…any kind of pasta is very cheap and easy to prepare; just throw it in cooking water until it’s eatable. Make sure it is as much as your main meal of the day would be. I usually put some vegetables (either fresh or out of can -If that is the case, I put it in the microwave) with it and any kind of meat that I can find in the house.
After that (2-3 hours later), I get myself a bowl of cereal with milk and eat about two bowls of those.
Another meal I sometimes make few hours later is a light one; fresh salad with pieces of apple, bacon and cheese that I throw in it.
Also, soup out of can with a few pieces of bread to dip with is a good idea.
So that’s about what i eat a day, but It varies on what I want to cook and what’s in the house (eating the same stuff every day is not good, also, I only eat cereal 3-4 times a week max since I don’t like taking in that much milk).
Do not forget to drink lots of water any chance you get, I prefer tap water instead of cold water but that’s up to you. According to Boss TNT, I should drink about 3.5 litres a day but I never measure . I drink about 8 glasses of water a day which makes you go to the bathroom allot.
In addition, guys, don’t forget to do some running and go to the gym or at least do some home training everyday. I try to sweat every day.
My schedule is something like this;
Monday – intensive gym
Tuesday – nothing due to muscle ache or maybe some jogging (about 15 min +)
Wednesday- less intensive gym
Thursday – long jogging with a friend of mine (25 min +)
Friday – intensive gym, recreational swimming
Saturday – nothing unless it’s a social sport activity
Sunday – jogging
By gaining weight your body will look more muscled if you train well and it helps your muscles heal and advance when you train them a lot.
By the way, I don’t use supplements except for something called ‘ensure plus’ that my dad buys for my grandma. It’s like a liquid meal that I just like drinking due to it’s taste. But it fills you up. Not sure if it actually helps but when I used to be really skinny about 3 years ago my dad would buy them for me and make porridge for me daily which made me gain allot of weight.
Don’t forget to eat fruits (I already trough a whole sliced apple in the salad but you can eat other fruits like banana’s etc). Also, if your mom likes to slice fruit and make a variation dish in the morning for example, eat it.
Remember that the more you eat, the faster you will burn fat and the hungrier you will get. So once you start this routine, make sure you have food secure always.
